Halloween Decor on a Budget

This year, I gave our home a spooky makeover for less! Check out some of my favorite Halloween decor on a budget!

Halloween Decor on a Budget:

1. Pumpkin Painting

All you need is a $1 pumpkin and some metallic spray paint, chalk paint and some stickers. These all turned out so cool! The metallic pumpkin looks so high-end but it’s actually styrofoam! The tall one was actually bright orange and black, but a little white chalk paint gives it a Beetlejuice Halloween look! And I LOVE how the bat stickers and chalk paint turned another bright orange foam pumpkin into a spooky addition to the pumpkin clan.

3. Witchcraft Books

With the help of my Cricut Explore Air2, Cricut Permanent Vinyl and black wrapping paper, I made the book covers. I then wrapped some old hardcover books and created the labels on Cricut Design Space. So easy!

4. Ombre Bats

This was also thanks to my Cricut Explore Air2. And with Cricut cardstock I was able to make these. I found a template I liked and cut out 4 different sizes in 4 different colors. After seeing similar bats for sale so I thought I would give it a try. I think they turned out really good.

5. Spray Painted Skulls

You can find these inexpensive plastic skulls at the Dollar Store, Walmart or just about anywhere. With a little metallic spray paint, they look like high-end decor.

6. Candles

I have a like a dozen flameless candles sitting in the garage and they are so easy to turn into a spooky accent.

7. Dollar Store Leftovers

I always load up on a bunch of random little trinkets when I go to the Dollar Store in hopes of needing them or a DIY. Often I don’t end up needing them but you can always find a bowl or Mason jar to display them in. And maybe you will find a better use for them later.

Hopefully some of these spooky DIYs helps spark some creative decor of your own. I would love to know your thoughts and ideas in the comments below.
