Our days of diapers are coming to and end. Shayne has been wearing big girl underwear to school for almost two weeks, with minimal accidents! While she is still in diapers at nap time and bedtime, those will be coming to an end soon too. It is very bittersweet to say goodbye to babyhood. As much as we have been wanting to have her potty-trained before she turns three, I can’t help but miss all of her baby moments.
Kolton was in diapers until he was about 3 1/2 and I thought it would never end! Diapers have been a huge part of our lives throughout our parenting journey since day 1. In fact, in my 5 1/2 years of parenting, I am yet to have a diaper-free home!
While it is exciting that our diapering days are coming to an end, I often think about what we would have done had we not been able to afford these diapers, and what other families do who are not as fortunate as us. The thought of a baby not being able to have clean diapers on a consistent basis breaks my heart.
Did you know that one-in-three families struggle to provide diapers for their baby? Help Diaper a baby in need when you buy Huggies® Diapers or Wipes! From March 26 through April 29, any purchase of Huggies® diapers at Walgreens or Walgreens.com triggers a donation of a day’s worth of diapers to a family in need!!
With your help, Huggies® and Walgreens will donate 1.5 million diapers and 250,000 wipes nationwide to the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN).
We have always trusted Huggies® and while Shayne loves wearing her big girl undies, something about seeing her in her Huggies® Little Movers before bed, reminds me of so many sweet babyhood memories. I am surprisingly a little sad to see our diapering days come to an end.
She will always be my baby girl, no matter how old she is. I will cherish these last diaper nights while they last and look forward to all the fun big girl days to come.
Huggies® No Baby Unhugged program is donating 1.5 million diapers and 250,000 wipes to the National Diaper Bank Network with YOUR help!! Head to Walgreens or walgreens.com for your Huggies® purchase and help those in need!
XOXO,
This is awesome!!! I didn’t know Walgreens and Huggies did this!! I’m trying to end the diaper days over here as well and my daughter just loves Huggies too much I guess. (;
Yes, I think it is an awesome cause! Diapering will end for all of us eventually. It is so bittersweet like most parenting moments. Thanks for reading!
What a great post to inform others of this program! Diapers were a huge part of my life. I have twin boys who were not potty trained until 3 1/2. I could not imagine not affording diapers. Great cause.
I think many of us take advantage of this parenthood necessity. You must have gone through a lot of diapers with your twin boys! Thanks for your comment.
I always preferred huggies also, even though it seemed everyone I knew was using Pampers. I love Huggies even more seeing how much they are giving back!
This made me see Huggies in a whole new light as well. We just stocked up on diapers and wipes from Walgreens after learning about this program.
It’s great that Huggies and Walgreens are teaming up to donate to such a worthy cause. It’s a sad reality that some families struggle to put food on the table let alone buy nappies for their babies.
