We are always searching for fun places to bring our almost 3 year old that is also comfortable to take care of a little baby. Of course it is an added bonus if we as parents are able to have some fun also! We had heard great things about the new water oasis at Gilroy Gardens, and decided to check it out. We thought it would be important to rent a cabana to keep Shayne shaded and have a place to keep our strollers and personal items. This was a really great idea, and definitely worth the extra money. With the cabana rental, we were able to have early access to the water area, and excellent service of food and drinks.

We went with a great group of friends and their little ones, which made our experience that much more enjoyable! I only wish we had discovered this earlier in the summer, but we will definitely be back while the weather is still so beautiful.

Kolton even went down his very first water slide!

When we were starting to tire from the water oasis, we decided to walk through some more of the park. It is so beautifully nestled in the trees, which not only gives a great amount of shade, but adds to the natural beauty of the park.

There are a decent amount of rides that are toddler friendly, and Kolton really loved the carousel.

We were so excited to find out that on the day that we were there, it was also the opening day of the new petting zoo! The kids, while getting a little tired at this point, absolutely loved being up close and personal with so many animals!

After having such a fabulous day at Gilroy Gardens, we all decided to purchase memberships! I purchased the Premium Membership which included our parking, unlimited visits through next year as well as this year, early access to the Water Oasis, 20% off food and merchandise (including our cabana rental) and access to the 2015 Holiday Lights. We were all so impressed by this family friendly theme park, and some of us adults may have had more fun than the kids did!
