BABY SIZE: She is about 15.2 inches long and 2.5 pounds this week. Roughly the size of a winter squash.

HOW I’M FEELING: More and more uncomfortable every day. I am feeling very excited as well with my due date approaching quickly. I know these last 10 weeks or so will only get more difficult, but I am using this opportunity to spend as much time with my family as possible. I want Kolton to know how special he is and how important his upcoming job as a big brother is to our family. We have a lot of activities planned in the weeks to come to prepare for the arrival of baby girl, so I have to remember to slow down when I can.

FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Sleep when I can. I have been trying to take naps when possible, although it is really difficult with so many things on my mind.

NEWS THIS WEEK: Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is getting bigger to accommodate her growing brain – which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in her skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, her nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester. Because of this, I have been trying to be more conscious of what I eat and drink. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and A LOT of water is a huge part of my daily diet.
