We have pretty much become professionals when it comes to road-tripping. Whether they are long trips or small trips, we have it down. The drive to beautiful Rocklin, CA was smooth and totally worth the 2.5 hour drive. 
The community of Whitney Ranch is really like a town within the city of Rocklin. It is huge and has so many amenities. When we were invited to attend a community movie night at the pool, we could not refuse. This event was incredible! Seeing the community come together to swim and watch a movie under the stars with popcorn and cotton candy really makes me want to move there! 
The Ranch House has two pools, showers, cabanas, barbeques and so many places to gather and catch up with neighbors and new friends. We loved being a part of it and enjoyed watching the community gather and interact in such a fun, outdoor atmosphere. 
Kolton and Shayne played for hours in the kiddie pool and made some adorable new friends. I loved watching the sunset behind the mountains while gazing up at the palm trees. I felt like I was at a resort. 
After the sunset, the movie came on. It was the very family friendly Disney® movie, A Wrinkle in Time. The kids got really into it while snacking on their popcorn and cotton candy.

The first picture where everyone pose in front of the car is pretty cool, I love how you let your children to pack their own stuff. This would certainly taught them to be responsible their own things. By the way, I love their trolley bag! The pool movie is really awesome. I have never done anything like that before!
Thank you! The kids are becoming pros at road trips! While I cannot let them pack their entire bags yet because they would be filled with toys, I do let them have a say in what they bring. It gets them excited about loading up the car. Thank you for reading!

It looks like you had so much fun at this relaxing afternoon by the pool, in the community. I love that you could watch the movie from the pool. I can imagine sitting on a pool floatie and just enjoy the movie from the water.
